About US Ultratek, Inc.

US Ultratek, Inc. was founded in May, 2000 as a California corporation dedicated to the development and manufacture of the advanced computerized ultrasonic testing instruments for industrial flaw and corrosion inspections (including aerospace, refineries, nuclear power plants, military production lines, automobile production lines, and so on), the medical instrumentation, and the high education researches.

By the end of year 2000 we developed the 100MSPS high speed analog to digital converter board (AD100) and pulser/receiver board (PR300) for the computer ISA bus and these products had been used by Navy for the sea chest inspections for 12 years. In 2001, we introduced the world’s first three-in-one ultrasonic testing board for the computer PCI bus with the ultrasonic pulser/receiver, the 100 MHz analog to digital converter, and the position tracking module for the ultrasonic transducer. This product was adapted by many famous companies such as Boeing and Shell Oil, as their quality control instruments on their production lines. Since then US Ultratek has become the world leader in Non-Destructive Test (NDT) industry.

In 2003 we developed the world highest processing speed ultrasonic testing board with the on-board digital signal processor (DSP). This product was adapted by NASA and ATK to analyze the burning process of the liquid fuel on the rocket engine for the space shuttles.

In 2007 under the guidance of Dr. Joseph at Penn State University we developed the low frequency tone burst pulser with the phased array beam steering capability for the long range pipeline inspections and became the OEM manufacturer for the two world largest NDT companies – Olympus NDT and GE Inspection Technologies.

Up to now, US Ultratek has developed over 30 products with the computer interfaces RS232, ISA/PCI bus, USB2.0, and Ethernet, and is developing the new products with the computer interfaces USB3.0 and Bluetooth for the smart phone.

So far our products have been sold to 52 countries worldwide and our customers include Boeing, NASA, Shell Oil, ConocoPhillips, GE, Westinghouse, Six National Labs (Lawrence Berkeley, Argonne, Idaho, Sandia, Los Alamo, and Battelle), US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Energy, US Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin, Navy Research Lab, US Air Force Base, Siemens, Johnson & Johnson, Honeywell, Toyota, Hitachi, and even IAEA/United Nations. Also over 200 universities and research institutes bought our products for their education and research needs. The universities include Stanford, Cambridge, Rice, Imperial College, MIT, UCSD, UC Berkeley, US Davis, Penn State, Iowa State, Beijing Institute of Technology, National Taiwan University, University of Singapore, City University of Hong Kong and so on.
